little hygge is bringing the ‘’co’’ to parenting.

Little hygge is event programming for children and parents created by hygge coworking but open to the public. It’s a place to bring your children to play, encourage their creativity, and socialize. As parents, we are relentlessly caring for our children. Little hygge was designed so that for a few hours, we can care for them while you care for you.

here’s why.

Little hygge is the idea of normalizing co-parenting as a community. No one person can do it all. We recognize that we all have different strengths that we can lend to each other and that we are better when we are together.

for kids.

We work with some of the most magical teachers in Charlotte to create fun, stimulating, and educational stations for your kiddos to engage with during each little hygge event. Our goal is to allow them to get in touch with their creativity and maybe even tire them out.

for parents.

While we keep an eye on the kids, you get some “me” time. You have to stay onsite, but what you do is up to you. You can hang in the coffee shop or head back to the quieter coworking space to get some work done, read a book, talk to a friend, or mindlessly scroll through your phone.

arts and crafts.

station one.

Through different arts and crafts activities, we encourage children to explore their own creativity, experience artistic freedom and success, acknowledge and appreciate differences, and grow in self-confidence and discovery.

dance.

station two.

Our dance activities help kids learn to use dance as a creative way to express themselves through movement while expanding their social development as participants take turns, understand personal space, work as a group, support one another, and more!

reading.

station three.

Our reading corner is an exciting way for your children to listen to stories come alive while making new friends. Storytelling sparks children’s imagination, stimulates their curiosity, and helps develop their brain and ability to focus.

music.

station four

Our music classes build on your child’s natural enthusiasm for music and movement. Research has found that learning music helps to develop speech, cognitive abilities, social skills, patience, and boosts self-esteem.

faqs.
